Many of you have recently received, or may soon receive, an email saying your Moodle account is about to expire. These messages are not related to Vassar Moodle. They come from Moodle.org, the website of the company that develops the Moodle software, and refer to an account you created there.
Emails from Vassar Moodle are sent from the <noreply@vassar.edu> address, not <noreply@moodle.org>.
Your Vassar Moodle access is not affected. You may continue to log in at moodle.vassar.edu or via the VassarOne user portal with your regular Vassar credentials.
You may have accidentally created a Moodle.org account because searches for "Moodle" or "Moodle login" often land on Moodle.org first. Many people sign up there thinking it's where they log in to access their courses, but then are directed to this Vassar Moodle (moodle.vassar.edu) site. The Moodle.org account is easy to forget, and the expiration notice can look like it's about your courses.
You don't need to do anything. You can ignore the Moodle.org emails. If you'd like to stop receiving them, you can log in at Moodle.org and delete that account, but doing so isn't required.
